Dan Rogers, BSC Associate Professor of Speech and Theatre, earned his Master's degree from Mankato State University. Rogers was a working member of the Screen Actors' Guild for ten years before returning to educational theatre in 1988.
As an actor, Dan appeared in twelve feature films and over forty commercials. He has acted with such notable artists as Jimmy Stewart, Ned Beatty, Valerie Bertinelli, and Tuesday Weld.
On stage, Dan toured three seasons with Montana State University's Shakespeare in the Parks Company and has worked for several regional and summer stock theatres.
Dan comes to BSC from Webster University Conservatory of Performing Arts where he was head of the second year professional actor training program. Mr. Rogers is active in the Association of Theatre in Higher Education (regional representative for the Two-year Program Focus Group) and he has also served as regional respondent for the American College Theatre Festival for the last eight years.
Dan has received two citations of merit from the American College Theatre Festival for Outstanding Directing and has twice been the recipient of the Bismarck State College Faculty Award for Excellence.
Dan currently serves on the Executive board of Dakota Stage Limited and is one of the founding members of Capitol Shakespeare where he serves as Production Manager and board member.

Dean Bellin, BSC Assistant Professor of Technical Theatre. Dean earned his MFA in Theatre-Design from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Previous to that, he earned his BFA in Technical Theatre from North Dakota State University. Dean has been working professionally in technical theatre throughout the Upper Midwest and Hawai'i for the past 20 years and is a member of USITT - NBS.
Dean has worked with performing arts organizations such as Trollwood Performing Arts School, Kumu Kahua Theatre, Dakota Prairie Regional Center for the Arts, LaMoure County Summer Musical Theatre, Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, and Capital Shakespeare. Dean teaches the technical theatre courses such as Stagecraft, Stage Makeup, Stage Design and he also teaches Intro to Theatre. Dean also is the Designer/Technical Director for BSC Theatre productions.
