Students may bring in unwanted textbooks for year-round buyback any time after the semester starts.

For amounts $20 and under, cash will be issued on the spot. For amounts over $20, a credit will be applied to the student's account with the school. Students will be able to view these credits on CampusConnection. If the account balance is zero, a check will be issued from the Business Office.

Online students will now be able to sell their textbooks back at any time.

1. Online students will fill out the online form and submit it for approval.
2. The Bookstore will reply with an authorization number and list the books, prices and quantities that are valid for seven business days.
3. The Bookstore must receive the textbooks before the authorization period expires in order to credit the student's account. Students can ship books however they choose; shipping costs will be considered the students' responsibility.
4. Similar to the on-campus buyback, the student's account will be credited and a check issued through the business office. They will receive the same pricing as on-campus students. Online students also have the ability to track their buyback credits via CampusConnection.

Thank you for participating in our online buyback program. Your efforts are helping more used books make their way back to our shelves, in turn, saving yourself and other students money!

We must receive your textbooks within seven business days from the date of the authorization email. Once your books arrive and have been processed, the amount will be credited to your account with Bismarck State College, and if there is a zero balance on your account, a check will be issued to you shortly through our Business Office.

There may be several reasons why we can't accept all/any of your textbooks. Bundled components, new editions or simply enough inventory on hand may prevent us from purchasing all the books you requested. We are prohibited from buying books that have extensive wear and tear, including water damage, excessive writing and/or highlighting and torn covers and/or bindings. Someone somewhere will have to purchase this book, so its condition is extremely important. Textbooks accompanied by CD's may or may not require the CD upon buyback. These are always analyzed on a case-by-case basis.

Textbooks that are returned without prior authorization become property of the BSC Bookstore and will not be returned to the sender. All textbooks that are sold to the BSC Bookstore must be on the confirmation email and be accompanied by an authorization number.
