 The
Cisco Networking curriculum offers 4 sequential semesters of
training and labs, each with 70 hours of class time. When the
student completes the 4 semesters, he/she is prepared to take the
Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (CCNA)
Exam.
Semester I - Networking Basics
Basics of Ethernet technologies, cabling LANs and WANs, basic of
TCP/IP and IP addressing, routing fundamentals
Semester II - Routers and Routing
Basics
Basics of configuring routers, routing protocols, TCP/IP
concepts, Access Control Lists, Networking troubleshooting
skills
Semester III - Switching Basics and Intermediate
Routing
VLSM, Basics of OSPF and EIGRP, switch concepts and
configuration, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs and Virtual Trucking
Protocol
Semester IV - WAN Technologies
ISDN and DDR, Frame Relay, PPP, WAN technologies, and NAT, PAT,
DHCP
