BSC continues its steady climb in enrollment
with a record 3,788 students enrolled
this fall. The official total marks a 5.5 percent
increase over 3,591 students enrolled
last fall.
Dr. Drake Carter, provost and vice president
for academic affairs, said he believes
the additional 197 students are spread pretty
evenly across the campus.
“I believe our growth reflects BSC’s dedication
to quality and innovation. Students
are getting what they need from us and are
telling their friends and family members to
come to BSC,” Carter said.
He said new programs, such as Mechanical
Maintenance Technology, Instrumentation
& Control Technology, and the Bachelor
of Applied Science in Energy Management
have helped boost enrollment.
Other details of the report show that 2,492
are full-time students, 83 percent are North
Dakotans, and the in-state students are split
almost 50/50 between male/female. Students
are enrolled from 49 states and eight foreign
countries.
