A 40-mph wind couldn’t keep motorcycle enthusiasts from the first-time “President’s Run” to Hettinger, BSC President Larry Skogen’s hometown on July 11.

David Ludwig, BSC Foundation president, did most of the organizing of the event, which raised $2,700 for scholarships. Others who assisted with arrangements were Loren Kopseng and Dick Hedahl.

“It was an easy way to raise funds for scholarships, and for folks to get together and have a ride,” said Skogen. “Hopefully it will get bigger and raise more funds each year.”

Next year’s President’s Run is set for July 10.
