PROCTORING SERVICES

Bismarck State College, a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers, supports distance learning by providing proctoring services for students away from their campuses or individuals needing to take exams through testing companies or businesses. Exams can be either paper-pencil or web-based. The fee for proctoring services is $10 per hour, minimum of one hour.

Individuals needing an exam proctor may arrange for such assistance through the Office of Testing by phone, (701) 224-5658 or (701) 224-5479, Email, or by visiting our office located in Schafer Hall, 1500 Edwards Ave., Rm. 205.  It is the examinee's responsibility to notify the college/company to send the exam to the Office of Testing Services at BSC.

Bismarck State College will return the exams by regular mail service. If any special mailing service is necessary (Next Day Air), the institution providing the exam or the examinee will be responsible for the fee.

Summer Testing Hours(5/14 thru 8/3):

    • Monday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Friday - 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

** All appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.  Proctoring is not available on holidays.  The Testing Office will do its best to meet the scheduling needs of the examinee, but the final date and time decisions will be based on the Testing Staff's availability. The student is required to present a Student ID or a valid government issued photo ID upon check in for the exam.
