4 General Education semester credit hours are required. The CSCI 101 course which is part of the required nuclear technical courses, also counts towards this requirement. Therefore, you are required to take one additional course from one of the following areas:

Communications - 6 semester credit hours
Required ENGL 110 - College Composition I (3 hours)
An assessment of writing skills must be taken prior to enrollment. Accepted assessments are ACT, COMPASS and Accuplacer. The Accuplacer assessment is available entirely online. If you need assistance with your assessment scores, please contact Amanda Dockter at Amanda.Dockter@bsc.nodak.edu.

Note: General Education courses shown are those offered online through Bismarck State College. Other courses that are not online may also meet the requirements for this degree. If you have already taken general education courses at other institutions, some of those credits may satisfy these requirements. If you want to know whether courses you have taken elsewhere qualify, e-mail Amanda Dockter. If you plan to take a general education course from another institution and transfer the credits to Bismarck State College, you must receive written permission ahead of time from the Registrar's office at BSC.
