2012-2013 BSC Foundation Board of Trustee Committees
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - The Executive Committee shall: (1) manage the affairs of the Foundation between meetings of the Trustees; (2) develop and approve the annual operating budget; (3) organize agendas for the quarterly meetings of the Trustees; and (4) assist the committees of the Foundation in accomplishing their responsibilities.
FINANCE COMMITTEE - The principle responsibilities of this committee are: (1) management of the Foundation's assets; (2) monitor the performance of the Merritt Trust; (3) selection and regular evaluation of a money manager for the Foundation's endowment; (4) develop and approve the annual operating budget; and (5) selection of an auditing firm to insure appropriate annual audits of the Foundation's funds.
PROGRAMS COMMITTEE - This committee will provide guidance for the Foundation's program services which are: the scholarship program; (2) the student recognition program; (3) the employee recognition program; (4) the grants program; and (5) the college development program.
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - This committee is charged with assisting the Foundation with trustee recruitment, retention, recruiting President's Club members, assisting with fund raising, and increasing involvement of current trustee members. The near term objective of the Development Committee is to have 60 paying trustees with a three year objective of 75 paying trustees.
