How Do I Get Started?

Apply for Admission to BSC: You will need to first obtain a user account and once you have been assigned a user id & password, you will log into the Campus Connection Portal and apply for admission. For helpsheets on obtaining a user account and applying for admissions, go to bismarckstate.edu/campusconnection/ and under "Helpsheets" click on Obtain User Account and Apply for Admission.

Submit the $35.00 application fee: This can be done by calling the Student Finance Office at (701) 224-5533, (701) 224-5706 or (800) 445-5073. You can also mail payment to:

Fulfill all admissions requirements, including:

High School Transcripts/GED Results: Students who have 24 or more college credits are exempt from this requirement. Contact your high school to mail an official copy of your transcript. Transcripts need to be mailed officially sent (in a sealed envelope) from the schools to: Bismarck State College, Attn: Admissions, PO Box 5587, Bismarck, ND 58506-5587
If you completed the GED (high school equivalency) exam, have a copy of results sent to BSC.

College Transcripts: If you have attended other colleges, request an official transcript to be sent to BSC. Transcripts need to be mailed officially sent (in a sealed envelope) from the schools to: Bismarck State College,Attn: Admissions, PO Box 5587, Bismarck, ND 58506-5587

Assessment Scores: If you have not previously completed a college level Math and/or English, an ACT score is required for students under age 25. Students 25 and older must schedule a COMPASS or ACCUPLACER assessment. For more information, please contact the Distance Education Advisor, Amanda Dockter by email at Amanda.Dockter@bsc.nodak.edu.

Upon completion of your application and submission of the application fee, you will be contacted by email within 2-3 business days. If you do not see an email in your Inbox, please make sure to also check your spam or junk mail folders. For Hotmail users, you can add the bsc.nodak.edu domain to your "Safe Senders" list (Options > Safe and blocked senders > Safe senders), to ensure you are able to receive emails from all BSC personnel.
