This Scholarship was established in 1998 as part of the 1997
Willard Grager Year of the Lineman Award given in honor of the
CCEC linemen for their dedication and service to the
Cooperative.
Cass County Electric Cooperative has designated $1000 in
scholarship funds to be awarded each year to a student (or
divided between two students) who intends to further their
education by obtaining an Associate in Applied Science Degree
(AAS). The following criteria has been established using
information from Bismarck State College: the Associate in Applied
Science Degree is a 4-semester program (2 years). An Electrical
Line Worker Certificate (33 credits) can be earned in 9 months
with the Associate in Applied Science degree in electrical line
work requiring an additional 15 credits of general education
courses. Cass County Electric Cooperative strongly urges the
individual that is pursuing an electrical line worker certificate
to obtain their AAS degree.
To apply for this scholarship you must reside
within the boundaries of the Cass County Electric service
territory. (Students: if your parents live within our boundaries
you are eligible to apply. Map enclosed with scholarship
